Scunthorpe Pride Festival
Scunthorpe Pride Festival will be inclusive of everyone, no matter how they identify. With daytime focus on family friendly entertainment and activities.
We want to invite local businesses to get involved with sponsorship, stalls, and support. We will have local artists and entertainers on the main stage. The event will include arts, theatre, live music and family fun activities and entertainment. The event is for the wider community and beyond, we want all different groups, families, and the public to attend and celebrate this day of inclusion, culture, diversity and visibility. We hope to include an on-foot Pride parade through the centre of Scunthorpe town to include various businesses, charities, sports teams, and other community groups, which will loop back up to the main stage area for the main pride event.
Applications are now open for stall holders and food vendors to join our “Pride Market”, which we hope to be situated in library square, in front of Scunthorpe Central Library. We would love local venues and businesses to support with pride events, fundraisers, and decoration on the day.
About Scunthorpe LGBTQ+ Society
Scunthorpe LGBTQ Society are a small team of volunteers with a varied skill set. Our society is based around supporting the local LGBTQ+ community. Our goal is to plan an annual Pride event whilst supporting the community throughout the rest of the year.
Our aim is to provide a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community and create a stable support network, along with events, meetups, and a main pride event celebration. We have also taken over the pre-existing Rainbow Youth Group.
We are inviting local organizations, venues, public and businesses to support and get involved.
