Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme

Target SME's
  • Gigabit vouchers can be used by small businesses and the local communities surrounding them to contribute to the installation cost of a gigabit-capable connection.
  • Businesses can claim up to £2,500 against the cost of connection. Residents can benefit from the scheme with a voucher worth £500 as part of a group project.
  • Rural premises with broadband speeds of less than 30Mbps can use vouchers worth up to £3,500 for each small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), and up to £1,500 per residential premise. to support the cost of installing new gigabit-capable connections.

Growth Lincolnshire - Business Growth and Digital Growth Grants (GLLEP)

Target SME’s in Lincolnshire
  • This programme offers grants ranging from £1,000 - £10,000 and can contribute between 40% and 50% of your overall costs.
  • To purchase items such as equipment, software and specific consultancy support not available through programmes operating in the GLLEP area.
  • To help fund the implementation of internal ICT solutions such as e-commerce platforms; website; cloud data storage storage solutions; digital management systems.
  • You need to be working with a Growth Hub Advisor to access these grants.

Plastics Packaging and Textile Recycling Grants

Target SME's
  • The government is inviting organisations to apply for funding under a new multi-million pound grant scheme to help boost the recycling of plastic packaging and textiles.
  • Through the programme, WRAP will be offering grants of between £200,000 and £1 million.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they can secure a regular supply of plastic packaging waste or textiles waste materials (clothing and linens only) that can be recycled as part of their operation.

ICT for Growth

  • The scheme can provide ICT specialist advice relating to company growth plans.
  • Advisors will also be able to signpost you to other solutions and relevant support programmes as appropriate..
  • Advisors can support you through many aspects such as:
    • Identifying ICT needs and requirements
    • Designing a tailored project solution
    • Developing an action plan of support, including a ‘Design Sprint’ methodology

  • The scheme can provide specialist/experienced financial advice in relation to company growth plans.
  • Advisors will also be able to signpost you to other solutions and relevant support programmes as appropriate.
  • Advisors can support you through many aspects such as:
    • Addressing the key issues preventing your business from accessing finance, such as ineffectual business planning and a lack of in-depth management information.
    • Assisting you to understand what lenders/investors are looking for as an investment opportunity.
    • Helping you to understand the financial landscape and negotiate the financial options, products and support available.

North Lincolnshire Community Led Local Development (CLLD) Programme

  • The CLLD programme is now open for applications and will run until December 2021. There is £2.2m of funding available for projects that will create jobs and economic growth in certain disadvantaged areas within Scunthorpe – please see map showing eligible areas

Target SME’s in Greater Lincolnshire area

  • A £9.2 million project, offered by North East Lincolnshire Council
  • A total of £5.4 million of the project has come from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to boost renewable energy use in SMEs, council and other public sector owned buildings in the area.
  • Available to businesses with less than 250 employees and a turnover of under £50m

Growing the Humber - Business Investment Grant

Target SME’s in North Lincolnshire

  • An £8m business investment grant programme, offered by the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) working in partnership with North Lincolnshire Council
  • Business grants are available to SME’s for capital expenditure projects that will result in new jobs being created, up to £500k grant at a maximum of 30% intervention rate
  • Available to viable businesses who have been trading for more than 12 months with a broad (beyond the Humber area) customer and competitor base and not operating in a restricted sector

Manufacturing Growth Programme

  • Free advice and support to manufacturing SME’s to help identify opportunities and create plans for growth and improvement. Connect to wider support to maximise opportunities for growth
  • Work with the best external experts to implement those plans
  • Cover 35% of the cost of implementing the plans through a growth/improvement grant

Building Better Supply Chains in Greater Lincolnshire (GLLEP)

Business Basics Fund

Target To help Micro, Small, Medium and Large enterprises to adopt tried and tested technologies.

  • Up to £60k available - 70% for micro / small business, 60% for medium, 50% for large

Growing The Humber Business Loan Fund

Target Companies looking to unlock capital projects that have the potential for job creation and can quickly deliver tangible economic outcomes through providing additional capital investment
  • Loans of between £100,000 and £1,000,000.
  • Must be ‘ready to go’ capital schemes that are able to generate employment quickly

Finance for Enterprise

  • Enterprise Loans support viable business and projects considered too high risk or early stage for mainstream sources of finance
  • For early stage established businesses, typically with a minimum of 3 employees
  • Maximum loan value £150,000

Invest and Grow Loan Fund (GLLEP)

Target Larger schemes in North and North East Lincolnshire and Lincolnshire
  • Loans of between £500,000 and £2.5 million available for larger schemes which can unlock developments and enable the delivery of new jobs, commercial space and homes
  • The fund aims to accelerate stalled developments and create jobs through rapid investments in local infrastructure and tackling site constraints
  • Eligible projects ill fund infrastructure costs including utilities, flood management, access roads and employment and housing sites

Chamber Acorn Fund Including Start-up Loans

Target Start up, existing business, community and social enterprises, inward investors moving to the Humber region
End date 2020
  • Chamber Acorn Fund is a not-for-profit company and an accredited responsible finance provider offering gap funded loans to a small business that are normally excluded from high street commercial lenders
  • They also provide Start-up Loans, a government-backed personal loan, available to individuals looking to start or grow a business
  • Loans from £1,000 to £100,000 over a period of 1-10 years with interest rates from 10-14%

Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund

Target SME’s from new starts to expanding
  • Loans of £25,000 to £100,000 to fund expansion/capital projects (Microfinance)
  • Loans of £100,000 to £750,000 (for businesses that can demonstrate growth potential) for working capital, hiring staff, machinery purchase (Debt finance)
  • Early stage or late stage equity funding for businesses with ambitious plans or large start-ups of £50,000 to £2m. (Equity Finance)
