Business Grant Scam - Please be aware

16 September 2019, 14:07

We have been made aware this morning of a financial scam in relation to Business Grant Applications. A local business has been subject to a scam where they received a phone call from somebody pretending to be assisting them with a grant enquiry. They took some details and went away to investigate what grants were available and after a few days advised the business that they had found a grant that was suitable through a company called 'Easy Growth Finance'. The process, application form and paperwork was extremely plausible. The Grant was to be managed via a 'Business Mastercard Account' which the business had to create and load with their match funding contribution.

Welcoming Year 7 Consultation

27 February 2019, 15:44

The Engineering UTC Northern Lincolnshire has made considerable strides over the last 18 months, including a very positive Ofsted inspection, launching a pioneering Engineering pre-Apprenticeship Programme and celebrated record results. As such, the ENLUTC are the fastest growing UTC in any town in the country.

Due to this demand, they are looking forward to welcoming their first intake of Year 9 students in September. While preparing for this change, what has become particularly apparent is that there are a large number of parents with children at primary school asking why they had to send their child to a different school for two years for them to start in year 7.

As a result, and because there is a growing need for additional secondary places in North Lincolnshire, the ENLUTC are proposing a change in admissions to allow Year 7 students to join our community from September 2020.

A booklet has been created which outlines in greater detail about why the UTC are making this change and what it would mean, the document and the online questionnaire and consultation is now available through the following link:
