Start your career in construction with EMJ Plastics

Local people are being invited to apply for exciting new job opportunities in North Lincolnshire’s booming construction industry.

As the UK’s leading manufacturer of GRP Permanent Bridge Deck Formwork, EMJ Plastics specialise in steel reinforced glass fibre panels, with their products used in the building of more than 7,000 bridges worldwide.

In a further boost to the growth of the North Lincolnshire economy, the company relocated to the Foxhills Industrial Estate in Scunthorpe last month and is looking to employ local workers to meet increased production demands.

Jobs available now include factory operatives. While a background in steel fabrication would be beneficial, previous experience is not essential as on the job training will be provided.

There are also opportunities to join the bustling office environment in varied administrative roles, as well as openings for CAD operatives, estimators, production assistants and project co-ordinators.

Successful applicants would be joining the company at an exciting stage in its 60-year history. A role at EMJ Plastics offers the potential to build a career in the construction industry, with many team members having worked their way up from the factory floor to positions of responsibility.

To find out more or apply for the roles, please email your CV to careers@emjplastics.com.

The company is also among the local employers taking part in the SWAP (Sector-based work academy programme), a new project to benefit jobseekers.

A partnership between North Lincolnshire Council, the Department for Work and Pensions and North Lindsey College, the scheme offers local people seeking work the opportunity of on-the-job experience and a guaranteed interview at the end of the programme, benefiting applicant and employer.
