Measures to support the Hospitality industry to reopen outdoors

The Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government has announced the extension of measurers to support hospitality businesses to reopen safely.

The Government have announced the extension of pavement licences for a further 12 months, which will make it easier and cost effective for pubs, restaurants and cafes to offer al fresco dining outside. This will also included a capped application fee of £100 and a 10-working day consultation and determination period.

Businesses can apply for a pavement license on the North Lincolnshire Website.

Also, the flexibility for businesses such as pubs wishing to set up marquees will be exempt from having to gain planning permission. The number of exempt days has been increased from 28 to 56.

Restaurants, pubs and cafes will be allowed to continue to serve takeaway food - with these measures being extended until March 2022.
