Department for International Trade Agriculture, Food and Drink Campagin

With trade deals covering 64 countries plus the EU secured so far – equating to some £889 billion worth of trade – free trade agreements are opening doors around the world for UK agri-food and drink businesses.

The Department for International Trade (DIT) have launched a new campaign specifically for UK agricultural, food and drink businesses and sector bodies like ours, designed to help build confidence in exporting and support over 900,000 jobs throughout our critical agri-food and drink sector.

From Welsh lamb sold across the Gulf in Qatar and the UAE, to Cornish clotted cream on tables in Japan and Hong Kong, there is a growing global appetite for British food and drink. By signing trade deals with markets like these, the UK Government is seeking to reduce barriers to trade and open doors to the huge, global opportunities for British agriculture, food and drink businesses.

DIT provides bespoke exporting advice and support to help businesses access these opportunities. For more information, visit gov.uk/grow-by-exporting to learn how you and your business can tap into new opportunities abroad.

DIT are also keen to hear more about exporting success stories – whether you are an experienced exporter, or engaging customers abroad for the first time. If you have a business story you would like featured in DIT’s campaign, please contact us and we will pass on your details to DIT directly.
