Businesses able to open in Stage 3 of the Spring Roadmap

As part of the Spring Roadmap, England will move to stage 3 of the spring roadmap on 17 May 2021. This means that certain businesses will be able to reopen, although with certain restrictions in place.

As part of Step 3 of the Spring Roadmap, the Government has confirmed that the following sectors will be able to reopen from 17 May 2021:

  • Indoor hospitality (With no requirement for a substantial meal to be served alongside alcoholic drinks, and no curfew. The requirement to order, eat and drink while seated will remain.)
  • Remaining outdoor entertainment (Such as outdoor theatres and cinemas)
  • Indoor entertainment (Such as museums, cinemas and children's play areas)
  • Adult indoor group sports and excercise classes
  • Some large events, including conferences, theate and concert performaces and sports events (Certain conditions will apply - visit Gov.uk for detailed guidance)
  • Weddings, receptions, funerals and commerative events can proceed with up to 30 attendees.
