£15,000 grant boost for Immingham-based shipping company
North Lincolnshire Council has successfully supported UK Container Repairs Ltd to receive a grant worth more than £15,000 to fund specialist equipment, which supported the creation of two new jobs.
Based in Immingham, UK Container Repairs Ltd applied for funding through the British Steel Support Fund, provided by the Government, which offers support to local businesses or those moving to North Lincolnshire.
The funding has been used to buy equipment, including a hydraulic lifter to move large shipping containers.
Incorporated in 2016, UK Containers Repairs Ltd inspects, maintains and repairs freight shipping containers, serving the shipping industry of the Humber region.
Michael Musson, Director at UK Container Repairs Ltd, said:
“Myself and the team at UK Container Repairs have found the help and the support off North Lincolnshire Council and all parties involved amazing to work alongside.
“To help fund and build UK Container Repairs in to the business it is today, it wouldn’t have happened if this funding was not available. So I just want to say a very big thank you very much to everyone who helped set up and start this business.”
